This is a 5 day course (9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)

Day1: Monday 4th November

Day2: Monday 11th November

Day3: Monday 18th November

Day4: Monday 25th November

Day 5: Monday 2nd December

 

Work with Parents is an exciting new resource programme that aims to train and equip practitioners working directly with parents to support, empower and enable them to achieve positive outcome for their children.

The course:

Helps practitioners to work within a framework of practice that is in alignment with the National Occupational Standards for Work with Parents.

Allows practitioners to understand key tasks and responsibilities in greater depth, leading to more confidence and practical competency, whilst building on existing knowledge and skills.

Is an accreditation pathway towards gaining a valuable Level 3 qualification in Work with Parents.

What does the course cover?

The underlying principles of family support.

A framework for good practice including partnership working and strengths and evidence based approaches.

The nine tasks of the practitioner in supporting and enabling family change and progress.

Who is suitable for this course?

This training is available free to anyone in Hertfordshire working directly with parents.

 

This course is the mandatory unit for Work with Parents and can be built on to gain the full Level 3 Award. More courses will be announced shortly.
